چکیده
Anne-Marie Caminade is Director of Researches at the CNRS since 1997 ( f i rst c lass since 2004) and presently head of the "Dendrimers and Heterochemistry" group at LCC Toulouse. After two Ph.D.s (1984 and 1988) and two Post-docs (IFP-Paris and A. Von Humboldt fellow in Saarbrücken with M. Veith), she entered the CNRS in 1985. She developed several aspects of phosphorus chemistry, including low coordinated compounds, transition metals coordination, and macrocycles syntheses. Her current research interest is on the synthesis, reactivity, and applications of dendrimers in particular as catalysts, for nanomaterials and in biology. She is the co-author of more than 370 publications and 30 patents, and received in 2006 the Organic Chemistry Prize of the French Chemical Society.

Which Dendrimer to Attain the Desired Properties? Focus on Phosphorhydrazone Dendrimers.
Among the six Critical Nanoscale Design Parameters (CNDPs) proposed by Prof. Donald A. Tomalia, this review illustrates the influence of the sixth one, which concerns the elemental composition, on the properties of dendrimers. After a large introduction that summarizes different types of dendrimers that have been compared with PolyAMidoAMine (PAMAM) dendrimers, this review will focus on the pro...

Over the last decade, different types of dendrimers have shown anti-inflammatory properties in their own right. In particular, we have shown that poly(phosphorhydrazone) (PPH) dendrimers are able to foster an efficient anti-inflammatory response in human monocytes and can resolve the main physiopathological features of chronic arthritis in mice at 1 mg/kg. Here we afford new insights into the t...
متن کاملSynthesis and optical properties of water-soluble biperylene-based dendrimers.
We report the synthesis and photophysical properties of three biperylene-based dendrimers, which show red fluorescence in water. A fluorescence microscopy study demonstrated uptake of biperylene-based dendrimers in living cells. Our results indicate that these biperylene-based dendrimers are promising candidates in fluorescence imaging applications with the potential as therapeutic carriers.
متن کاملPolyglycerol-Dendronized Perylenediimides as Stable, Water-Soluble Fluorophores.
The synthesis and photophysical properties of water-soluble, fluorescent polyglycerol-dendronized perylenediimides 1-4 are reported. The polyglycerol dendrons, which are known to be highly biocompatible, are found to confer high water-solubility on the perylenediimide in aqueous media while retaining its excellent fluorescent properties. Furthermore, intramolecular cross-linking of the polyglyc...
متن کاملHydrophobic dendrimers as templates for au nanoparticles.
We report the synthesis, characterization, and extraction of Au dendrimer-encapsulated nanoparticles (DENs) prepared in organic solvents. DENs composed of 31 and 55 Au atoms were prepared using organic solvents and poly(amidoamine) (PAMAM) dendrimer templates modified on their periphery with dodecyl groups. The spectral and microscopic properties of the resulting materials were identical to tho...
